MINUTES FROM THE SPECIAL MEETING OF BOROUGH COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER 15, 2002 There was a special meeting of the Hamburg Borough Council held this evening at the Hamburg Municipal Center with President Richard Boyd presiding. Members Present - Richard W. Boyd, Leon Balthaser, Jeanette Heckman, Charles Figard, Dale Schlenker Members Absent – Roy Heffner, Diana Edwards Also Present – Lynda G. Albright, Borough Manager, Kim Y. Berger, Recording Secretary Visitors – None NEW BUSINESS On the recommendation of the Finance Committee, a motion was made by Jeanette Heckman and seconded by Charles Figard to reject all trash and recycling bids and to authorize the Borough Manager to prepare and advertise for new bids. ROLL CALL: AYES – None NAYES – R. Boyd, J. Heckman, C. Figard, L. Balthaser, D. Schlenker A motion was made by Dale Schlenker and seconded by Charles Figard to accept and award the recycling bid to J. P. Mascaro at the bid price of $76,857. ROLL CALL: AYES – R. Boyd, J. Heckman, C. Figard, L. Balthaser, D. Schlenker NAYES – None A motion was made by Dale Schlenker and seconded by Charles Figard to reject all the trash bids. Roll Call: Ayes – R. Boyd, J. Heckman, C. Schlenker Nayes, None A motion was made by Dale Schlenker and seconded by Charles Figard to re-bid the trash contract having all the options included under one price and not to advertise for a spring clean up. Schlenker NAYES – None Manager Albright stated that Great Valley Consultants has invited all Council members to their holiday open house, December 20, 2002 from 12 noon to 7p.m. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m. on motion of Dale Schlenker and seconded by Charles Figard.
