Crime Watch Hamburg
Crime Watch needs your help to keep our town safe and crime free. Did
you know? Reading
has the 3rd highest crime rate in the state of Pennsylvania. Most crimes in
Reading are drug related. Hamburg is only 21 miles from Reading. The
Hamburg Police Department is doing their job but they can't be everywhere. The
people of Hamburg need to help as much as we can, as all good citizens should.
The residents of Hamburg can lend a hand by joining crime watch. Crime
watch is not a civilian police department, or a vigilante group; we are the eyes
and ears of the police department. If we see something suspicious, we contact
the police officer on duty. We
: Work
with police knowledge. We are in contact with the Hamburg police department at
all times. We
always patrol in pairs. We
do not get out of the car to confront anyone. We report suspicious activity to
the Officer on duty. Now
is the time to get in involved. We
need to let criminals know that we are out there and we will be watching. As
individuals, we can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Please help
