Omega Medical Laboratories

    Omega Medical Laboratories, a community-base, licensed medical laboratory, is conveniently located in Hamburg at 400/B South Fourth Street.  Since 1984, Omega has provided complete blood testing and clinical laboratory services to Hamburg area physicians and their patients, nursing homes and industry.
    Omega's Hamburg office is one of more than 40 neighborhood Patient Centers that the company operates throughout East Central, Pennsylvania.  These handy locations bring blood testing services close to where patients live of work.  Each Center offers hours of operation that are designed to fit patents' schedules.  The Hamburg location is open from 7 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday, and on Saturday from 7 AM until noon.  No appointment is necessary - patients may stop in when it is most convenient for them.  The phone number of Omega's Hamburg Patient Center is (610) 562-7078.
    Omega is known for its prompt, friendly service and quality testing.  Patients simply need to present their doctor's request slip (Omega accepts all request slips, even if another hospital or laboratory is specified).  After collection by Omega's skilled phlebotomists, each specimen is bar-coded to positively identify each patient.  Then Omega's own courier fleet transports the specimens to the Omega laboratory in Wyomissing.  Nearly all Omega testing is completed in-house and reported to the patient's doctor within 24 hours.
    Omega welcomes Medicare and most major insurances, as well as HealthAmerica/Healthassurance.  (For patients enrolled in an HMO, coverage for Omega tests may be limited)
