The Doris Berry Shop
Women's & Children's Wear
20 South Fourth Street
Hamburg, PA 19526
(610)562-2051

The Doris Berry Shop, women's & children's wear, in Hamburg was first opened for business in the fall of 1942 by Mrs./ Doris Berry and her sister, Erna Raudenbush.  Together they formed a successful partnership which is presently owned by Doris' son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Gladys Berry, and their three daughters, Lori, Melanie, and Deena.
The Doris Berry Shop fills their racks with fashions purchased from over 150 manufacturers, enabling them to have a variety of fashions not found in department stores or malls.  They carry women's wear for all ages and sizes, including petites, misses, plus and half sizes.  For boys & girls they sell infant to size 16.  Because of their large selection, customers drive many miles to shop at Doris Berry's knowing that they will most likely find what they are looking for.
Another reason for their success is the quality of the garments they sell.  Every item is inspected and pressed by the employees before it is hung out to sell.  All defective merchandise is returned to the manufacturer.  They strive to give customers the quality they deserve.
Many small town businesses last only a few years, and must close their doors when larger department stores or malls open in the neighboring communities.  However, because of their "small town" service, large selection and quality merchandise, customers prefer to shop at the Doris Berry Shop rather than the malls, and return season after season for their fashions.
