The Public Works Department is in charge of a lot of things.  This crew plows the snow, cinders the streets, mows the grass at the park (all three of them), painting lines on the streets, cleans up after storms, patches the potholes, sweeps the streets, and also fixes water leaks and that is just small overview of what their responsibilities entail.  This five man crew is very busy and their day is never the same.

The 1995 Johnston street sweeper located on the left was purchased in 1998.  The Borough has a street sweeping program in effect.  

The 1998 Case backhoe pictured on the right was also purchased in 1998.  This backhoe is used in a lot of different ways.
